For those who didn't see my journal, I finally picked a new Puck font with much help from my wife. In the end, I needed to purchase this choice (10 Cent Comics) from Blambot because the free options didn't sit well. In other words, if you hate this new font, you're entitled to your opinion, but I ain't changing it to something else cuz I already spent my hard-earned cash.
This particular strip was a lot of fun to draw. It’s seldom that I embrace full-on physical humour, but when an opportunity comes up, I take it.
I have no idea why Daphne and the gang were in Whitehorse, but I needed a weird locale, and I thought I’d go for a Canadian option. I've always liked those lines in action flicks, where some hard-bitten soldier says, “Just like that time in Khartoum.” I wanted to replicate that. I thought about the possibility of Ho Chi Minh City as my location, but the name was too long to fit properly.
Here we see just how malevolent Daphne can be. She’s evil, but I still find her lovable. What a scamp.
Yeah, that's actually my favourite detail in this strip: the fact that Phoebe just watches passively to the side, like this happens every day. Which it does. No one else noticed that, so I thank you for your keen eyes and sharp wit!
Thank you for all the details you're able to cram into every panel! The funniest thing for me here is that Phoebe says "the ambulance", not "an ambulance", as if she really wanted to say "the usual ambulance".
