Looks like the BuzzFeed vibe is strong in the ad. :O

From what I've heard, this type of stuff is the stuff that actually pays good money.  High-end fashion shoots for glossy mags pay next to nothing, because they know any model would snap at that opportunity just for the exposure.

Interesting to know " love info like that", but my comment was meant as a pun.

Oh good, I do that myself. I usually make my replies even more detailed. But you engage  so many people I don't see how you have the time to begin with.

I don't see how I have the time either, honestly.  (It's a trade secret called sleep deprivation!)

Well, I'm glad my lowbrow jokes work as well as my highbrow ones.  Wait, I forgot: I don't do highbrow.  Edit: I'm glad this lowbrow joke worked as well or better than the other lowbrow jokes.

It's all about the timing. Puck's enthusiasm to show her first modeling ad is genuine, since that's something people who work behind the scenes on things often do - they don't often think about how the finished product looks to an outsider.

That and the fact that it's panel 3 and not 4, leaving the punchline being the reaction.

Well, thanks.  I often feel when I'm reading newspaper comic strips that the gags are sometimes actually good, but the placement or timing is wrong.  They never allow for a second beat or a reaction.  It's always the punch line as the last line of the comic.  That always seems to me to be a little less effective.

According to Wiktionary the phrase "take a gander" was "First recorded in 1887, based on craning the neck like a goose."

Oh God, I'm dying! :D Btw. the best advertisement of "heavy flow days" would be scene with blood flood from "Shining"
