Wow, that sounds like a long winded way f going about things! Over here they check everything is ok whilst your in there and will tell you if not. No wonder Puck is concerned!

Yeah, this (weird) method seems to be the norm in Canada and the US. It comes from having ultrasound clinics that DON'T have radiologists present at all times. Apparently in other places, they aren't allowed to run the clinics without radiologists. That seems (to me) like a good idea.
